Ear Bud Keeper

image

Ear buds are used by kids, teens and adults of all ages. They are by far the most popular choice for listening since they are tiny and light and very practical compared to the expensive over the head ear phones. I personally love them since I can use only one ear bud and have the other ear free to be aware of whats going on around me (I think all moms can relate to this!) The only problem is, they get tangled very easily since we throw them in our bags and stuff them in pockets on a regular basis.

I wanted to make something small and functional to find a solution for the tangled mess. Follow the simple tutorial and you can have an ear bud keeper in less than fifteen minutes.

I’m not going to list any supplies as all you need is a 16 x 5 1/2 piece of fabric or felt. I used felt since it’s very sturdy and durable.

Fold it in half, short sides together, and sew a straight line.

You will now have a loop. Turn it inside out with the seam facing you. I kept mine a little off center but you don’t have to worry too much about it as it will not be visible once you’re done.

imageBring one end towards the center and overlap the other end over the first fold. This will create a pocket.

Sew the short sides and turn it inside out. Be sure to poke the corners out.

imageI made a HIS and HERS pair also because once you start making these, you just don’t know when to stop. They are super cheap and super easy to make. If you don’t sew you can also use fabric glue. So get going and make one for each member of the family .imageimage
